Frequency to Note Converter

This web app converts a list of frequencies into a tab-delimited list of pitch classes (note names), and also provides the octave, cents deviation from 12TET (equal temperament), and whether a quartertone accidental should be used. This data is ready for copying and pasting into an Excel or Google Sheets spreadsheet for further use. It also draws the pitches in music notation, and has a function to export the pitches out to a MusicXML file for importing into a music notation app such as MuseScore.

How to use

Enter your frequencies (in Hz) one per line, then click ‘Calculate’ to generate tab-delimited output and notation.

Output
Tab-delimited text: can be copied/pasted into Excel or Google Sheets
