About
This standalone Max/MSP app applies sophisticated granular synthesis to an audio file, creating multiple pitch-shifted layers using an onscreen keyboard or a MIDI keyboard. While playing around with Spindrift’s parameters, you can record the output to a new soundfile, for importing into your favourite DAW. Despite its simplicity, Spindrift Synth has very sophisticated spatialisation features, including the ability to work in quadraphonic or octophonic sound, with automated spatial trajectories, filterbank and meta-grains (‘chunks’).
Spindrift Synth uses the Spindrift external for Max.
