This is a little Javascript program that contains about 800 different melodic modes (equal-tempered only), categorized into different types. Mode names and interval patterns are derived principally from the Huygens–Fokker Foundation’s List of Musical Modes, part of the Scala music-theory resources, as well as from Dmitri Tymoczko’s list of Pressing Scales. The material has been selected, reorganised and adapted for this application.
