TIMEDANCE is a dance film by director Daniel Belton. This score was written to accompany the live version of the film. It is based on a ’loving deconstruction’ of the Bach B minor suite, which includes the famous Badinerie. The Bach is rendered almost unrecognisable, as it is stretched, transformed and reharmonised, providing a ‘distorted mirror’ to history.
Individual movements, or selections thereof, may be played as a separate concert work:
Introduction [4:15]
I. Doppio Movimento [3:40]
II. Rondeau [4:25]
III. Sarabande [4:20]
IV. Bourrée [4:20]

VI. Menuet [3:25]
VII. Badinerie [4:50]
